The 7th Dancesport Sa Sugbu and Cebu Open DanceSport Championship 2014 is made possible by the DanceSport Team Cebu City (DTCC).
DTCC is an NGO made up of dance teachers who are willing to volunteer and devote time and effort in teaching kids the dancesport discipline from 80 Cebu City’s 80 barangays, even those in far-flung mountain barangays.
The competition will also serve as a culminating activity for child-trainees who are mostly underprivileged.
This will enable them to experience what it’s like to join a dance competition and instill in them the spirit of self-confidence, self- discipline and self-worth.
Who knows?
This might inspire them to train harder and get a bright future in dancesport.
Dubbed as the “Friendliest Competition in the World,” DanceSport sa Sugbu is also a record-holder of the Largest Dance Class in Guinness World of Record.
The competition also promotes local and international tourism as competitors and aficionados all meet in Cebu to witness an exciting display of dance prowess as well as visit the world-class tourism destination we all call Cebu.
